The Electrical Council provides one voice for the electrical market in Canada by representing leading Canadian electrical manufacturers, distributors and manufacturer representatives. Founded in 1952, the Electrical Contractors Association of BC (ECABC) is the recognized voice of the electrical and line utility industry across British Columbia. Representing approximately 150 members, ECABC includes a diverse mix of open shop and union electrical contractors, line contractors, and associate members.

Mission Statement: To strengthen and promote the electrical and line utility industry in British Columbia.

The CPMR certification is a prestigious, three-year program that equips participants with advanced knowledge and strategic insight to operate more effective and successful rep firms. Upon completion, graduates earn the CPMR designation and gain membership in the Institute for Professional Advancement (IPA), the educational arm of MRERF (Manufacturers’ Representatives Educational Research Foundation).
