We are currently seeking to fill an open Industrial Sales position for our office in Port Coquitlam. If you’re looking for a fast pace exciting and rewarding opportunity, are energetic, positive minded and comfortable calling on Industrial Contractors, End Users, Pulp and Paper facilities, Sawmill and other Industrial customers, we would be interested in meeting with you.

Job Description:

In this position, the Industrial Sales person will work closely with the manufacturer partners we represent specifying product with consulting engineers and end-users for industrial projects in BC. Additionally, supporting our distribution partners with product training, sales support and making joint sales calls on end-users and contractors. The ability to provide product presentations and assisting with product application utilizing your technical capabilities will also be key to the success of this position.

The successful candidate should possess the following skills.

  • Strong B2B sales background
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) with the ability to learn new software
  • English language proficiency
  • An ability to work under time-sensitive project deadlines. (Effective time management skills)
  • Is a self-starter with the ability to take initiative
  • Effective public speaking and presentation skills
  • Ability to close projects

This position requires travel in BC in addition to periodical travel to the USA for Factory Product Training so both a valid passport and driver’s license is required.

The Residential Specification Sales position is primarily responsible for building positive long-term relationships with Interior Designers, Architects, Residential Builders, Electrical Engineers along with our Dealer channel that is focused on the Luxury Residential Market. The successful candidate should be comfortable with providing presentations on products such as Automated Window Coverings, High End Lighting, Lighting Control Systems, Custom In-floor Heating and many other residential products. Ongoing product training is key to the success of this position.

The successful candidate should possess the following skills.

Project Quotation Specialist

We are currently seeking to fill an open Project Quotation Specialist position for our office in Port Coquitlam. If you’re looking for a fast paced, exciting and rewarding opportunity, we would be interested in meeting with you.

Job Description:

The Project Quotation Specialist position is responsible for generating accurate quotations, bid proposals and design recommendations for commercial projects in BC.

Some of the daily activities would include utilizing various software platforms to assist in creating lighting control designs from electrical drawings, cable tray take-offs, in-floor power and raceway quotations in addition to commercial Heat Trace systems for freeze protection and snow-melt. Daily interaction with our distributor partners, contractors and our direct sales team in a supportive and collaborative way is key to the success of this position.

The successful candidate should possess the following skills.

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) with the ability to learn new software
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive project deadlines. (Effective time management skills)
  • Be well organized
  • Ability to maintain focus while working in an environment of frequent interruptions

Service Technician

Adanac Sales is an Independent Electrical Manufactures Representative covering the British Columbia Market.

Due to expansion, we are currently seeking to fill an immediate open Service Technician position to perform the commissioning of our Commercial Lighting Control Systems throughout BC.  If you’re looking for a fast paced, exciting and rewarding opportunity, we would be interested in meeting with you.

Job Description:

The Service Technician role is responsible for the commissioning and programming of our commercial lighting control systems both large and small.  In addition, coordinating with electrical contractors, facility managers and end users to ensure proper wiring and system installations have been completed based on the manufacturers requirements for system operation and in some cases, integration to a building BMS system.

 

The successful candidate should possess the following skills.

  • English language proficiency
  • Excellent communication skills, the desire to be challenged every day, and a professional attitude are required
  • The ability to professionally interface with a wide range of customers from contractors to specifiers
  • Technical school degree, or related experience
  • 2 to 5 years work experience in electro-mechanical or related field. Lighting Control Systems preferred
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems
  • Computer networking experience a plus
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Ability to work under time-sensitive project deadlines. (Effective time management skills)
  • Willingness to travel
  • Highly organized and accustomed to a fast-paced work schedule
  • Strong leadership and training skills
  • Work independently to accommodate the ever-changing needs and priorities of our customers
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Troubleshoot and repair of Product installations
  • Coordinate with on-site contractors and facility managers to ensure proper system installation
  • Focus on lifecycle product service (troubleshooting, repair, training end-users, and upgrades)
  • Serve as a technical expert for the Product
